On December 12, 2023 it was first reported that Sejong Vanesse FC won't participate in 2024 K4 League season.
Sejong FC was notified by Sejong City in August of the cancellation of the ointment contract due to the former club owner's poor management. A new parent company in the hotel field took over the business and chose the city of Jincheon as its new location. However, the transfer of hometown must be approved in advance by the end of September, but as this fact was not communicated, the team will not be able to play in the 2024 K4 League season.

A former club employee said that it only needed to be submitted by the end of November, but the association (KFA) said the approval process was already over. The club explained the situation, but the association is drawing a line, saying compliance with regulations comes first. However, there is criticism that the association insists too much on regulations without considering the special situation where the operating entity changes. Athletes who lost their jobs immediately due to late documentation procedures are making earnest appeals.
