Amer Didic joins Pacific FC - Defender arrives from FC Edmonton

Canadian Premier League champions Pacific FC have found their Lukas MacNaughton replacement. Sources have told Transfermarkt that the Vancouver Island-based club has signed FC Edmonton center-back Amer Didic. The 27-year-old two times Canadian men's national team defender was presented by his new club on Feb. 10. 

“I can’t wait to join the group and get going," Didic said in a club statement posted on Twitter. The club has had huge success and I am excited to be able to have the opportunity to be apart of their journey in defending their championship title. I’m definitely looking forward to moving over to the island”

Pacific FC needed a defender after selling MacNaughton for $175,000 to MLS side Toronto FC. Didic will add significant experience to the side. Didic has played 48 games for FC Edmonton across all competitions (four goals and three assists). Before joining Edmonton in 2019, Didic was part of the Sporting Kansas City setup where he played four games for the MLS side and 84 games for the reserve side (four goals and two assists).
