FC Edmonton have signed defender Luke Singh on loan for the 2022 season from Toronto FC. The defender was initially loaned to Pacific FC earlier this year as part of the deal that saw Lukas MacNaughton head to Toronto FC but a deal fell through even though the Canadian Premier League club had already announced the signing.

“We are excited to embrace Luke with our team this season,” FC Edmonton head coach Alan Koch said in a club statement. “He is a talented young player with some excellent professional football experiences already. I am excited to work with him, push him to help develop his game further, and hopefully have him aid in team success.”

Singh has both Canadian and Trinidad & Tobagian citizenship and last played for Trinidad's U18 team. A highly talented defender, Singh has managed six appearances for Toronto FC's first team in MLS last season (one goal).
